Regional Finals

Thirty-two qualifying teams then contested the regional finals held at the Universities of Manchester, Oxford, Birmingham and City University, London, in September.

National Final

The eight successful teams from the regional finals competed at King Edward Hall, Merrill Lynch, London. Leeds Girls’ won the competition with their ideas, followed by Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys’ in second and Torquay Grammar in third.
The girl’s from Leeds, Zoe Benedict, Rachel Froebel and Sylvie Hall impressed the judges with their ideas for a new start up business plan for a concierge service for American tourists visiting London and won a 4 night trip to New York, staying at a 5 star hotel, with £500 spending money and tickets for ‘Business – An American Perspective’, at New York University. 
The second placed boys from Haberdashers’ won a 2 night stay at a 4star hotel in Paris, travelling on Eurostar, with tickets for ‘Your Future in Europe’ conference, at the Palais Des Congres.
Torquay Grammar, in third, won a half day visit to the FT in London, including a tour of the offices, lunch with the Senior Edit team and goody bags.
All winning teams were presented with crystal trophies for their school.
